Casting quot;Project Frontier,quot; an upcoming non-union animated documentary series portraying real historical figures. Talent should have strong character looks and the ability to authentically portray individuals from the early 1800s. In search of approx. 12-5 actors and are particularly interested in actors who can portray American frontiersmen and military officers, Mexican military officers and political figures, Tejano leaders and citizens, and historical figures ranging from their late 20s to 60s.

Seeking talent from Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, Richmond, VA, travel will not be covered.

Mexican Army general and Santa Anna's brother-in-law. Calm, disciplined, and practical. Commanded Mexican forces in Texas before the siege and was among the first officers to enter during the final assault. Native or fluent Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged.

Veteran soldier and inspirational military leader. Fearless, determined, and charismatic. Best remembered for rallying volunteers during the Battle of Bexar with his famous call to arms.

Legendary frontiersman, politician, and folk hero. Tall, charismatic, witty, and fearless. After leaving politics, he traveled to Texas and became one of the most recognizable defenders, remembered for lifting the spirits of those around him even in the face of certain death.

Influential empresario, diplomat, and respected statesman. Calm, intelligent, and strategic. Initially sought statehood within Mexico before ultimately supporting independence and helping secure financial backing for the cause.

Distinguished Tejano businessman, governor, and political leader. Warm, respected, and diplomatic. Father of J. Bowie's wife and an influential figure in Mexican Texas. The selected actor may also portray additional Tejano characters throughout the series. Native or fluent Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged.

President/General of Mexico and commanding general of the Mexican Army. Intelligent, authoritative, and ambitious. A highly educated military and political leader determined to preserve centralized control over Mexico, ultimately leading the assault against the Alamo.

A legendary frontiersman and commander of the Alamo volunteers. Tall, physically imposing, intelligent, and quietly charismatic with a commanding presence. Famous for the Bowie knife and elected by popular vote to lead the volunteer forces after Col. Neill's departure. Though celebrated as a hero, Bowie was also a complex man, an ambitious entrepreneur and adventurer who later became confined to bed during much of the siege due to illness.
