Songwriter making audio demos of varied original material from children’s theatre musicals (target audience: ages 8 and up, not pre-schoolers) and other family-friendly material and a few things from other genres. Looking for singers for voices of characters who are kids, teens, and adults (and a few animals and magical creatures). No memorization needed, as there are no visual aspects; nothing is filmed.

Casting / Shoot Info

Payment immediately upon completion of each song's successful full recording.

All original lyrics; some with original melodies, some using familiar old public domain tunes (folks songs, children's songs, etc.) Details on request. Singers will have access to tracks they worked on for their own visibility and career promotion.

Compensation is somewhat negotiable, but generally is either of these rates:

$50 per completed recording of one full-length musical theatre-style song with original music (which requires some preparation and learning a new melody before arriving; sheet music with lyrics and a practice accompaniment track provided in advance)

OR

$20 per completed recording of each short and very simple song with new words fitting a familiar public domain melody that singers usually know from childhood and general knowledge (famous children's songs, folk songs, Christmas songs), so little rehearsal or study is needed.

Ongoing project. Pay per song or per session. Negotiable and flexible. Talented beginners welcome, as well as experienced singers. Requires comedic character voices more than trained legit voices. NOTE: Talent under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to apply and must have a parent or legal guardian on set/studio or event at all times.
