Hasan is observant, guarded, and a little awkward. Over the course of one night, his relationship with the fish shifts from disgust and embarrassment to something increasingly intimate and surreal. Hasan is in nearly every frame, and much of the film rests on his physical performance rather than dialogue. We’re looking for a strong performer with subtle screen presence who can move between sensuality and vulnerability without overplaying them. Speaking Bangla is strongly preferred, though we can work with the right performer on the film’s limited Bangla dialogue. The role involves kissing, dancing, and extensive interaction with a realistic fish prop. All intimate scenes will be discussed with an intimacy coordinator and carefully choreographed in advance.
