Synopsis: "In a single day, a young man's attempt to bond with his sister's fiance unravels into humiliation, self-destruction, and a quiet search for solace as he confronts the weight of masculinity and his own fragile worth." A drama, experimental-narrative exploring themes of mental health, societal gender expectations, and cis-male body dysmorphia. This film will primarily be in English, but with Urdu dialogue as well.
Neha Lalani, director of this short, has created 2 award-winning short films in the past. As a hobby, she passionately creates a variety of content for her YouTube channel and is currently working on music production for original songs. Neha has been within the indie filmmaking scene for quite a while. Her debut film, 'Swan Song', a multi-award-winning short film, was also screened at MEFCC 2023 (Middle East Film and Comic Con)."
