NY Tango Academy is seeking strong, disciplined dancers for an upcoming Argentine Tango stage production in New York City. We are especially interested in male dancers, and female dancers are also encouraged to submit. We are looking for dancers with a strong dance foundation, musicality, coordination, stage presence, partnering awareness, discipline, and the ability to learn and retain choreography. Dance backgrounds may include Ballroom, Latin, Dance Sport, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, or other strong movement disciplines. Previous Argentine Tango experience is not required. We are interested in the dancer first: your movement quality, musicality, presence, versatility, and potential. Show us what type of dancer you are. Please submit a resume or brief description of your dance background, a recent photo, and a video or performance reel showing your dancing. It does not need to be Argentine Tango. Send us material that best represents you as a dancer.
